Our Life-Time warranty.
Sharifstone ® Residential transferable LIFE-TIME WARRANTY covers and warrants the original residential owner/purchaser for the life of the product from the date of installation of the Sharifstone® Surfaces in their residential home location, that the material will be free from manufacturing defects and perform as engineered for its service life, when it was properly installed by a licensed and authorized Sharifstone® Fabricator/Installer, and maintained with care as instructed by our guidelines.
This warranty covers claims made by the original consumer purchaser of Sharifstone® Surfaces.
In the event a manufacturing defect occurs during the warranty period thereafter, Sharifstone® will at its option, repair or replace the defective Sharifstone® Surfaces. This limited warranty is transferable.
WARRANTY COVERS:
This limited warranty extends to Sharifstone® Surfaces that have been purchased from an Authorized Sharifstone® Installer/Dealer and which have been installed in your residence location by an Authorized Installer.
This limited warranty covers Surfaces that have been maintained according to the Sharifstone® Surfaces Care and Maintenance as well as accepted standards for engineered Quartz surfaces. A guideline of the maintenance care is provided here in this same page.
What it covers in detail:
Defects due to manufacturing process.
An inspection will be carried out for any claim on installed Surfaces covered during the Warranty coverage period.
If they are deemed due to manufacturing defects, the warranty will cover the replacement of the Surface for the same material or comparable at the time of the claim.
What this Warranty will not cover:
Any defects or damages due to improper use/care/maintenance/fabrication/installation/modifications/coverings/treatments/scratches/normal tear and wear/temporary markings/staining/discoloration/fading/any variances in color, shade, size, shape/distribution of the pattern of the natural quartz or the natural variations in background tone/cracks due to force-other-impacts/abnormal use and conditions/commercial use-applications/acts of God/unpaid materials/vandalism/relocation of material/material that was inspected upon delivery to the fabricator-installer and accepted as defect-free upon receive/ rental use/ bending, curving, or other creative use of the Stone during or after installation/modifications made to fit change the load-other capacity of the material that could result in structural failure/material that has been milled or reduced in thickness/installed in any outdoor application where it’s exposed to elements/mishandling, irregular use/misuse or physical or chemical abuse or exposure/direct or sustained heat or cold or sudden or rapid change in temperature or thermal shock/abuse, excessive force or abrasive or corrosive substances/showers, steam-saunas, tiling, flooring, cladding applications/job site conditions/architectural and engineering designs/accidents/vertical surfaces application/non-standard applications other than in residential kitchen and baths.
Sharifstone® Surfaces is intended for interior use in residential applications only, any other use will not be covered under the Limited Warranty.
This Warranty shall be effective if the owner/purchaser carries out the registration process within 30 Days of having the Sharifstone® Surfaces fully installed and fully paid at their residential home/location.
To complete the Warranty registration process and activate the Limited Warranty, the residential homeowner/purchaser must provide a copy of the contract with the Sharifstone® Surfaces authorized Fabricator/installer and proof of full payment for the contract provided, within 30 Days.
Failure to meet the 30 Days enrollment requirement, will nullify this Warranty and access to coverage shall terminate at the end of the 30 Days.
Maintenance and Care.
Sharifstone® Surfaces is a man-made engineered Quartz surface, which undergoes several certification inspections that meet and in some cases exceeds the industry standards.
Sharifstone® Surfaces are certified as being more resistant than Natural Marble Surfaces against scratching, etching, staining, cracking or thereafter common causes of failure in those Natural Surfaces.
Being more resistant, is not equal to being scratch proof, nor will they prevent staining on a varied list of common sources of stains against these Surfaces. Sharifstone® Surfaces, are Engineered quartz slabs which are factory-produced by combining highly purified quartz powder with resins, binding agents, and occasionally pigments in order to obtain some distinct designs.
Sharifstone® Surfaces will resist permanent staining when exposed to liquids like wine, vinegar, tea, lemon juice, and soda, or fruits and vegetables and it’s important to wipe up spills immediately, before they have a chance to dry. Take care of fresh spills with mild dish-washing detergent and a soft cloth or sponge.
For dried spills or heavy stains, the best option is using a leading brand surface cleaner together with a nonabrasive sponge, and a circular rubbing motion. This needs to be repeated in the span of several hours, or days when the stain is very dark and hard to get off. Eventually it will clear away from the surface, as engineered Quartz is seldom deeply penetrated by liquids, as it is the norm for Marble and other natural stone surfaces.
Most leading brands of household cleaners on the market will provide indications if they are safe to use on Quartz surfaces on their labels,
Always make sure to test first in a small area, before you employ them on the full surface.
As with any man-made materials, Sharifstone® Surfaces will not be immune to the common things that affect other Natural Stones. However, the fact that it’s an engineered surface, creates a stronger resistance against these common problems.
